Regulations :: Styles/Colors :: Purpose :: Enforcement :: Purchase Uniform
Enforcement of the uniform policy will be overseen by school staff and the Dekalb Academy of Technology & Environment. The school should strive to achieve compliance through use of incentives and positive reinforcement measures and should resort to disciplinary action only when positive measures fail to result in compliance. The school will communicate with parents so that expectations, rationale, and benefits are clearly published.
When necessary, Dekalb Academy of Technology & Environment will implement the following discipline policy;
1. First infraction: School authorities will send home a Disciplinary Uniform Deficiency with the student noting the infraction, requiring a parent and the student to sign the Deficiency.
2. Second infraction: The student will be sent to the office to call parents and request the parent to bring the appropriate clothing along with a conference with the Headmaster. Student will be assigned to Academy Homework Detention and a second Disciplinary Uniform Deficiency will be sent home.
3. Third infraction: A Disciplinary Uniform Deficiency and a Headmaster Referral for student to return to Neighborhood School.
